The ALD-488 analysis probe provides a fast, easy and reliable method for connecting one or two pod cables from Agilent analyzers to the IEEE 488 bus. The analysis probe uses a male 24-pin connector and may be attached to the IEEE 488 bus anywhere a bus cable can be attached, whether to the back of an instrument or to the daisy-chain connector of a cable. Configuration files for both timing and state analysis are provided. In state mode, a bus cycle interpreter clearly displays all bus transactions occurring at the falling-edge of DAV, data valid. For timing analysis, all signals are presented directly to the logic analyzer inputs without delay.
All bus signals are brought to test points to allow the quick and easy connection of an oscilloscope for analog waveform analysis. The logic analyzer cable terminations are provided on the preprocessor eliminating the need for other costly accessories.
